HISTORY

Our history begins with two normal human babies. Alexandria Rayne and Demetrius Caldwell. These two were the first ever two of their kind, Alexandria being the first Vampire and Demetrius being the first Lycan. For a good long while neither could control themselves. Demetrius would change into a ravage beast every time he changed and Alexandria would have to help control him. Over the years, he learned some valuable self control, they both did and they decided to run the night world together.

For over 1000 years, Alexandria and Demetrius, along with both their clans lived in complete harmony with one another. Governing each of their races. The two worked together to colonise the two worlds that they created. It seemed like everything was going well, both leaders never made a snap decision without the other. Lycans and Vampires were able to hunt together, feast together and live together, even fall in love as many of them did.

This seemed short lived for many who did not want to be involved with the war, but could not avoid it.

Demetrius, Leader of the Lycans one day realised this world was a very big place, as soon as he did he realised his sights should not just be set on one small coven in one city, he had the entire world and shared his view with Alexandria Rayne who sadly did not agree with him. Or at least, it appeared she did not, it seemed as though Alexandria Rayne wanted to remain in this City, apparently it had great potential, though nothing like the potential of the entire world and it surprised Demetrius how only he could see it. Demetrius tried and tried to make Alexandria see the wonder in his plan, though it appeared the Vampire Lord was more trouble and stubborn than she was worth and the Lycan Lord did not like this stubbornness in the Vampire for never once had they not been able to agree upon something.

Demetrius slowly began to gather his Lycans to him who began to detach themselves so slowly that the Vampires did not realise, at least not until it was too late. None of the Lycans were a problem as they followed Demetrius wherever he went and backed his ideas with stupid amounts of support. Though there were a few Lycans who found detaching themselves a little difficult. The ones who fell in love with Vampires felt they had everything to lose by following Demetrius, but everything to lose if they didn’t. They were in a corner, in a rut if you like, though they eventually came to their senses and followed Demetrius because they soon realised that no matter how much on par with Vampires the Lycans were on, they were always looked down upon.

Alexandria began to notice a change in Demetrius over the years. Demetri was always a tough nut who played things close to his chest but for some reason, Demetri was being even more secretive than usual. Alexandria called the Vampires to her for a meeting. After a lengthy discussion, it seemed like a lot of the Vampires had noticed changes in the Lycans, especially the ones who were involved with the Lycans. It seemed strange at first to Alexandria why Demetrius would be acting in such a way, then the memory hit her, the night all those years ago when Demetrius had told Alexandria about the world and how he thought it would be better if they ran the world like they did the City, Alexandria had refused the proposition of course, knowing as much as Alexandria didn’t like it they had to remain hidden , she didn’t want humans hunting them. Now Alexandria realised this was what Demetrius was planning. Demetrius was trying to overtake the world slowly and catch the crown at the top of the ladder, knocking the Vampires of the scale once and for all, but Alexandria couldn’t let that happen, so she created a new regime in her clan, the Princes (who were the sole rulers of the vampire clan) and the Generals (who helped the Princes keep everything in order), and soon enough, the war between Vampire and Lycan broke out.

For over a thousand years the war between Vampire and Lycan waged, catching innocent people in the crossfire, it seemed as though these two tribes did not care about who got in their way in the fight for supremacy. The Vampires and the Lycans were just as ruthless as each other, it didn’t matter to them who died or who got hurt as long as they won, and this fight would never be over until one of the two Clans were on top. Alexandria and her vampires were determined to stop Demetrius at any cost.

Over the years, other people began to emerge. A couple of Seer's, who the leaders of all three clans deemed very important if they wanted to have a better chance of winning the war and began to search for the people. This gave the clans more to fight for considering the Seer's were rare people and it was unlikely they would come across any more of their kind and so the clans battled, not just for rule, but for the Seers power too. Unfortunatly, the Seers kept themselves hidden and niether clan could find them.

After a while, another group fell into the war. The Secret Government, the Spectres, dispatched by the Prime Minister himself hundreds of years ago when the war first began. Their job was to simply clean up the mess they created and make sure no Humans ever saw what was happening around them. Of course this didnt work as some time later, they began to notice as it soon became too much for the Agents to keep on top of.

They were given new orders, Operation Clean Up soon had a different meaning. True, they were still to clean up the mess the Lycans and Vampires made, but they were also to wipe the remaining ones out, the war now involves everyone who has some reason to fight. Whether it be personal, plotful or just orders. Everyone now fights for one reason or another.

Somewhere down the line, the fighting grew worse. It soon came to deathblows between Alexandria and Demetrius, the leaders of the two most ferocious clans. The fight seemed to draw on forever, but eventually Demetrius gained the upper hand and killed her. Leaving the Vampires under the sole command of the Princes and Generals.

Now the first ever blooded Vampire has fallen... what will happen next?
