He never goes anywhere without his coat, people say its his prized possession but this is not true. Upon a golden chain around the Vampires neck, hangs three rings. Two simple gold bands, which are Silas and his deceased wife Carell's wedding rings, the third ring is a thin golden one with a sparkling white diamond in the middle, his wife's engagement ring. He usually sports a black, or deep red shirt undeneath his coat, the rings on the chain lie where his heart would be. His pants are usually dark too, either dark red, black or dark blue and he sports a rather old fashioned belt. Not to keep them up, but because his daughters Silver necklace hangs from it. The pendant on the necklace is a heart with a blue sapphire in the middle. He also sports black boots, and usually, but not always, black gloves.

+ Is quite insecure
Other ;;
Being the second blooded, Silas is one of the eldest Vampires and looked upon as such. He has strength and skill unmatched by any Vampire, asides from Ranvier and Alexandria, Alexandria could easily overpower him. Though this doesnt say Silas wont fall injured, quite on the contrary because even he is not perfect. His strength and skill may be unmatched, and he may try to never make mistakes, but even he cant take on quite a few opponants without picking up an injury or two.
Due to his age, a lot of wisdom has come to him. He is a lot more wise than he once was and people tend to take his advice on board as they know it will more than likely save their lives one day. In the world of Humans, Silas knows he must be careful, especially with the History junkies as many a book was published on Silas' achievements within the very first war of Humankind. It was a shame to see that despite all his efforts in that war, nothing had changed and Humans were still as bloodthirsty as ever when they began the first world war, the cold war, Vietnam, the Second World War and the War in Iraq. Did these Humans not realise Wars never changed anything if the Human race was not willing to change either?
Like most Vampires, Silas despised Lycans, yet his hatred for them runs far deeper than most as the only two people he ever truely cared for were slaughtered by the beasts. When Alexandria took him in, despite the fact that they were teamed with Lycans, he saw his chance for revenge as he knew a war would soon break itself out, and eventually it did. Demetrius starting it, he had told Alexandria plenty of times to not get to involved with the Lycan, yet his warnings fell on deaf ears.
Silas has an imposing and stoic demenour, often followed by cruel and mercyless. Many describe him as truely nasty upon the battlefield yet can not help love watching this man fight. Some describe Silas as heartless, though he knows this isnt true as he does have a heart and he does care like everyone else. However he just doesnt show it like most people do, Silas frowns upon emotion as he sees it as a weakness. Weakness' must be stamped out if they are to survive the war, Though one common way everyone see's Silas as is strange, secretive and mysterious as nobody really knows anything about him. They know the basics, and that is all. People find Silas quite intimidating, and not just his enemies, but his allies too.
He has a dark side not even any of the Vampires have seen, he is willing to lose a lot yet gain more. He tends not to care for his actions and doesnt care who a person once was, if you are his enemy now, he will cut you down. This makes him both a dangerous foe, and a dangerous ally. He is unpredictable, and you dont know what he will do from one minute to the next. Silas likes it this way, it gives him an edge and an advantage. Silas rarely botheres with pleasantries unless he has to. Alexandria knows how he can be sometimes, she knows he has a dark side though she never mentions it, not even to Silas. It tends to show that there's something hidden deep inside him through his personality as he is cold and harsh. Silas never bothers to be pleasant to people, he is straight and to the point and is never nice about it. He has a thick accent that is quite difficult to place, which makes him seem all the more harsh.
He likes to get things done and is not really that bothered on how he does it. He was an Army General before becoming a Vampire General so he has always had experiance in fighting and commanding troops. Silas takes his role within the Vampires quite seriously and often comes down hard on the younger Vampires, feeling they have a lot to learn about their ways, especially if they wish to survive the War between themselves, the Lycans and the spectres.

History;;
Silas is a Scottish Man, bred, born and raised in a small town in Scotland with his family. He was always a bit on the harsh side, being the youngest of the family, Silas was often shrugged aside by his elder brothers. It was only really his sister Amalia that gave any attention to Silas, helping him through his more troublesome childhood years and being there for the boy, often playing with Silas, much to the elder brothers dislike as they all saw Silas as the runt of the family who would never get anywhere in life. Amalia hated the fact her brothers had no faith in their younger brother and soon, Amalia began to distance herself from them too. His mother and his father also never bothered with him throughout his childhood years and only noticed Silas when he got a little older.
When Silas was eight, his sister fell ill with the disease and this left Silas quite heartbroken as Amalia was the only one in his family that Silas actually liked. Lucifer and Lucian, the twins, had left home by now, both with families of their own and the two refused to visit Amalia in case her infection got to them. At first Silas thought this cruel, but soon came to realise that their children were prone to illness' and if they came near Amalia, they risked passing the disease to their own children. The family never saw the twins again.
Amalia died a year later when Silas was nine. He grew colder and harsher than ever before after losing the only person he cared for, his mother and father, now only having two of their four children left, began to take notice of Silas, though Silas found it irritating. They began notcing Silas' attitude and grew worried about him. Though Silas didnt want to know as they shared how they felt, Silas just shot their feelings down in flames when Silas simply said he couldnt give two hoots how they felt, as they had never cared how Silas felt before now. His parents said that was unfair of him, but Silas never believed it was.
When Silas was sixteen, old enough to leave home, he joined the Army, knowing you wouldnt need emotion in there and in fact, the Army preffered it if you didnt. Silas was still closed off and even though they had said they didnt need emotion, Silas felt they were trying to make him emotional, but he didnt want to become a soppy person and kept his cold outer exterior.
Years went by and Silas began creeping slowly up the ladder in the Army, making Lutenant at twenty-eight, then General at thirty. His non caring and fearless attitude made it easier for Silas to walk up the ladder than most as he had nothing to lose so he didnt care about anything. His attitude had definatly made him extreamly valuable within the force, even by his superiors, some of them found his attitude highly intimidating and he made Army's Torturer a year after becoming a luetanant. He kept his Luetenant status, at 29, that was quite remarkable as his brothers had said he would never get anywhere in life. Silas had proved them wrong. He could be in a room for half an hour and come out knowing what the opposing side was after, he was considered the best at that trade, though his achievements didnt end there.
A year later Silas was promoted again to the Army General. Silas was in charge of his own troops, who darent disobey or dissapoint him due to his attitude, they feared that Silas would torture them with blunt objects or bits of cloth if they did. Of course, the war had not started yet, but there had been a few nitwits who had came across them and paid the price. Silas enjoyed his work immensly, though it only made him crueller and his heart colder.
A year later, Silas met Carell. She was a strange woman and had an even stranger best friend, Lilleth who claimed that she could see the future. Silas didnt believe her of course, neither did Carell, but the two entertained him. Little did he know he was soon to grow to hate this woman with a passion. For a while, Carell and Silas got to know eachother few frequent dates. When Silas turned thirty one, Carell agreed to move in with him and when Silas had leave from the Army, the two spent every second of the day together. You had never seen another couple more in love than Silas and Carell. Carell had warmed Silas' once cold heart, and soon enough, Silas proposed to Carell, which she accepted without a seconds thought.
Though the wedding could not be held until he was next on leave, Carell wore her engagement ring proudly. The girl was head over heels in love with Silas, just like Silas was for her. They married a year later when Silas was thirty two and Carell twenty four. Lilleth was Carell's maid of honor, and General Dupree from the Army, Silas' friend, was his best man. The wedding was what Carell wanted, a white Wedding, she wore the most beautiful of dresses and upon seeing Carell walking down the Isle, Silas knew he had found the one girl who would keep him happy.
A few months after the wedding, Silas had to go back to the army his leave expired. This was the start of the first war, Carrell wrote to him all the time, telling him her concerns and worrys, though Silas always told her not to worry he was fine. He wasnt quite as cruel as he used to be. Silas returned home a few months later to spend some time with his wife.
A few months later, when Silas was back in the Army, and back in the war, Silas got a letter from his wife, announcing her pregnancy, unfortunatly the Army would not permit the release for him until the time came for her to give birth. Eventually she did, and they had a little girl who they called Chanterell, after Carell's mother, and Amalia, after Silas' sister. Chanterell Amalia Driscoll.
Silas cared for his family more than anything and hated leaving them. Chan always begged her father to stay but he wasnt allowed. Unfortunatly, if he had known what little time he had with his family left, he would have quit the army and found a desk job. Chan was only sixteen when it happened. Silas was away, still fighting the ongoing war which had lasted up to now, 18 years. The longest war known to man. Silas was fifty one, a group of Lycans came into his village, slaughtering everyone, including his family. Silas knew nothing about it until six months later when he returned on leave to find his village in ruins, his home decimated and his family dead. Lycans had destroyed his home, and his life, he only knew this because his daughter, having been bitten by one, had changed into one. When the beast went to attack him when he walked into his home, instinctivly, he put his blade into the beast's heart. It reverted back to human once it was dead, and to Silas' dismay, where the beast once was, now lay his daughter.
You have no idea how much this destroyed him. Returning to the army, during the war he handed in his resignation. The generals didnt like the idea, but Silas said they let him go, or he wouldnt fight and he would die otherwise, not wanting to have the death of such a good Soldier on thier minds, they accepted it and Silas left, to wander the earth for a few years. Soon reverting to his non caring persona.
After a while, he met Alexandria, Demetrius and Ranvier, who told him about thier ways it appeared she had been looking for him, along with Demetrius and Ranvier. Alex had known about Silas' past in the army, though she did not know about his past family, nor how they had died. She suspected he had a wife due to the rings on the chain around his neck, but she never found out he had a daughter. Due to his past Army experiance and what Alex had learnt about his persona, she figured he would be a good Vampire. He didnt refuse of course, because one day he would be able to get his revenge on the Lycans for taking his family from him. That year was also the year Silas supposedly dissapeared, it was the year he became a Vampire, it was also the year the war ended.
He was spotted some time later by the extreamly great (can not be assed working it out) grandson of General Dupree. He was named after Silas, and had many pictures of the Vampire so it came as a shock to him when Silas appeared on day, three hundred or so years after Silas was supposed to have died. The man, also named Silas, reported Vampire Silas as a ghost, making the publishing of the first book of Silas possible, including the pictures he had and the fact that he had seen the man three hundred years after his supposed death. That part was never printed.
About 100 years later, the same book was printed of Silas once more. Silas had a laughing fit reading through all the facts and, well not so many facts about his life. He had great fun flicking through it saying, "That never happened," And "That is not true." And things like, "Oh yeah cause I often ate grass in the trenches to keep my strength up didnt I? Who do these people think I am? A bleedin' cow?" Much to the amusement of Ranvier as it was Ranvier who brought the book to Silas' notice.
Fifty years later, He was spotted again, and another book was printed about him, not a history book this time, more of a paranormal speculation, the book was titled,
"SILAS DRISCOLL!
WAR LORD!
NOW GHOST?"
Just another one to get Silas laughing once more. He was no more a ghost than the average human, though that year, he dissapeared from the Humans eyes once more.
Years on, much to the delight of Silas, Demetrius betrayed the Vampires and started a war, Silas now happy he could get his revenge on the Lycans, for he had put up with them for Alexandria's sake. It was no secret Silas hated the Lycans, but nobody understood why.
About 10 years after, Silas and Ranvier were made Princes. Thier strength and skillfar superior to any other Vampires made them perfect candidates, not to mention the fact that Silas was a well known War Lord and Ex Army General. Silas and Ranvier took thier jobs seriously within the clan, and trained the younglings to the best they could, however, this did not stop their stupidity getting themselves killed.
The war raged, and in 1850, the Lycans took the Cassell family, Antonia survived and feeling sorry for her, brought her into his world. He blooded her and it was the only one he had ever blooded. A few years later, Silas realised that her brother was still alive though he was now one of the creatures that killed her family, Silas didnt have the heart to tell her. He looked upon Antonia as his daughter, and Ranvier knew, as Silas and Ranvier were virtually brothers, that Ranvier had to protect Antonia, when Silas could not. Though, Antonia ended up getting killed by a Spectre.
